Inspire Creativity

Inspire Creativity Logo

Creativity is a process that inspires and maximises learning, making connections across the curriculum and between schools and the wider world. It offers children and young people a means to see how the world could be different for themselves and society at large, to feel empowered to influence decision making, and to be confident and motivated to make things happen. For this, young people need to develop creative skills and attributes. Many schools are already working hard to establish creative learning and teaching to help nurture and release pupils' creativity across a range of disciplines, increasing their ability to solve problems, think independently and work flexibly.

The Inspire Creativity webpages are a space where teachers and pupils can interact, share ideas and gain inspiration, all in an effort to make learning become more fun, creative and effective for everyone. There is are listings of  Events and a  Resource Gallery page for easy-to-find inspiration, or use the Idea Blog and Browse Ideas to discover and generate highly collaborative and creative lesson plans, read comments, post comments and see which ideas children and young people find most exciting through our rating system.

Go on - get stuck in!

New Film Club.
The Film Club has the go-ahead to begin rolling out a film  scheme across England from this April.  The service will be free to state schools. This means that Film Club  will pay for the DVD rental and delivery to your school as well as the PVS License required to screen films.

They plan to roll this out to schools on a first come first serve basis regionally. To start they will ask you to take part in a regional induction session in March for those schools starting in April (together with 15-30 other teachers setting up film clubs). This will cover registration, building a film list, ordering, making best use of the website, screenings & surroundings, engaging pupils, reviews, encouraging learning, film industry interaction etc.
