What is Peak District Products?
Peak District Prodcts is an association of professional artists, craftspeople and food producers based in and around the Peak District. First formed in 1991, the group has continued to grow and develop and currently has over 50 members. Currents skills include painting in a wide range of media and work in the fields of furniture, jewellery, stained glass, photography, mosaic, textiles, ceramics, rare minerals, enamels, sculpture, clocks, wood carving, lino printing, stone and marble. Many members also run workshops and offer tuition.
What does Peak District Products do?
Peak District Products has an excellent website which includes details of members and their work plus exhibitions. The group produces 25,000 copies of an annual full colour brochure, featuring members and their work, published in February. Also, members organise several exhibitions a year which have attracted a loyal following. Full details are given on the website.
Who can join Peak District Products?
Peak District Products are actively seeking new members. All prospective new members are interviewed by a panel of existing members whose skills cover a wide range of arts and crafts skills. The membership year runs from 1 st November.
