Creative Practitioners and Teachers wanted at Derby University
Creative Practitioners and Teachers wanted at Derby University to work on an Enrichment Programme with students at Derby University
Creative Partnerships are currently working with staff in the Education department at Derby University, who are planning to develop a ‘Value-added’ Enrichment Programme, as part of the Teacher-training courses on offer from this term.
The University is looking for Arts practitioners to teach the students a range of skills, which will complement their formal coursework; offer interest and fun, and potentially enhance their employability in the long term.
They are looking for people who can teach things like:
· A musical instrument
· Dance
· Drama
· Drawing
· Painting
· Creative therapies – art, music etc
· A sporting skill
– other suggestions of suitable subjects would be considered.
Teaching will be on Wednesday afternoons, and will not be a formal part of the University’s
programme: the university would provide the venue/room, but it is envisaged that any fees for the
tuition would be negotiated informally between teacher and student.
If you would like to be involved, or know someone who could make a contribution, please contact Ros Fletcher at Derby University (01332 591 855) for further details.
